Delivering Evidence-based Cardiac Rehabilitation in Ireland


This free, online 3-month course is specially designed to equip health care practitioners with the core knowledge and skills to deliver effective evidence-based rehabilitation services in practice.

The course begins with an initial online Zoom introductory session on Friday 29th September 1 – 5pm. This is followed by 7 online modules that you can complete at your own pace over the 3-month period. 

Topics include: 

  • Expert sessions in how to assess smoking, diet, physical activity and psychosocial health 
  • Best practice approaches to tobacco cessation 
  • Theory and practice of health-behaviour change 
  • New frontiers in healthy eating and secondary prevention 
  • The foundations for effective exercise programming 
  • Management of BP, cholesterol and glucose to target, with optimisation of pharmacological therapies 
  • Places are limited and we would advise to book now to avoid disappointment. 

Applications are only accepted from Cardiac Rehabilitation Professionals practicing in Ireland or working within the Chronic Disease Hubs.

Delivering Evidence-based Obesity Management


The course begins with a live online introductory session on Wednesday, 4th October from 6.00-8.00pm, followed by 8 self-paced online modules that are completed over 3 months, and culminates with a live online interactive consolidation session.
