Childhood Obesity Education
Childhood obesity is a chronic disease that is treated most effectively by longitudinal care delivered by a multi-disciplinary clinical team. Training of healthcare professionals that care for children living with obesity is crucial in tackling obesity at local and national levels.
The Childhood Obesity website hosts a childhood obesity course for health professionals which could be very useful for Practice Nurses to complete. The course is composed of a core module (one hour) and four advanced modules (one hour each). It is free of charge and up to five CPD points can be earned through doing the course.
