Cervical Screening from Public Health to Clinical Outcomes

CervicalCheck invites you to attend two hour-long webinars taking place online on 17 and 24 February 2021. The webinars will be an introduction to the new HPV cervical screening programme. They provide opportunities to meet the team to learn about the different aspects of the programme and have your questions answered.
CPD points and Category 1 points have been applied for from the ICGP and INMB respectively, so it is important to register on time.

Webinar 1: 17 February:

· 13.10-13.25pm. The laboratory; the gatekeepers of the programme by Dr David Nuttall PhD MPhil DipRCPath CSci FIBMS, Clinical Laboratory Advisor, CervicalCheck
· Webinar ends at 13.30pm. Questions will be taken at the end of the 2nd webinar
Webinar 2: 24 February:
· 12.30-12.35pm. Introduction by Dr Mary Short, Clinical Advisor Primary Care
· 12.35-12.50pm. Colposcopy; the next step in the screening cycle by Dr John Price MD FRCOG, CervicalCheck Colposcopy Advisor
· 12.50-13.10pm. The power of HPV testing by Ms Gráinne Gleeson, Programme Manager, CervicalCheck
· 13.10-13.25pm. Q&A moderated by Nurse Debbie Ramsbottom, Training Unit, CervicalCheck, followed by a summary and close of the meeting.
· Webinar ends at 13.30pm.

The learning outcomes for participants are intended to be:
· Greater awareness and understanding of CervicalCheck’s change to HPV cervical screening in March 2020
· Greater understanding for the rationale for HPV cervical screening
· Enhanced understand of the new screening intervals and age ranges
· A review and understanding of the clinical pathway
· Learning of the eligibility framework
· Awareness of how to better support women with the change to HPV cervical screening
· Greater knowledge and ability to answer questions in relation to HPV cervical screening.
