Part Time Nursing and Midwifery Programmes in Dundalk IT

The Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Early Years have developed a suite of part-time, blended delviery programmes in response to changes in healthcare delivery.
Certificate in Fundamentals of Understanding and Responding to Domestic Abuse (Level 8, Special Purpose Award)
o This specialist course is the first of its kind to be offered in Ireland and aims to support learners in the development of an appropriate level of knowledge, skill and understanding to enable them to appropriately recognise and respond to domestic abuse
o Delivered over one semester, with face to face and on-line contact
o Student intakes in September and January
o Cost: €700

Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health (level 9 Special Purpose Award, 10 ECTS)
o This programme is suitable for nurses, midwives, health & social care professionals.

Certificate in Adult Respiratory Nursing Practice (level 9 Special Purpose Award, 10 ECTS)
o This programme is suitable for nurses from all disciplines
o Delivered over one semester, with face to face and on-line contact

Certificate in the Fundamentals of the Professional Management of Aggression and Violence (level 9 minor award 10 ECTS)
o This programme is suitable for personnel working in the Health & Social Care Environment. All applicants will normally hold a level 8 qualification (or equivalent) and working within a health & social care environment
o Delivered over one semester with face to face and on-line contact
o Programme commences in September 2019
o Cost: €800
